Concussions
Are You or Your Athlete Struggling with Concussion Symptoms?
Do Symptoms Persist Longer Than Expected, Making Daily Activities Challenging?
If you’re experiencing difficulties concentrating, reading, using electronic devices, walking, exercising, or playing sports due to symptoms like headaches, nausea, blurred vision, or poor balance, Ageless Agility is here to help.
At Ageless Agility, led by Ashley Kranz, DPT, in Davie, FL, we understand the complexity of concussions and their impact on daily life and athletic performance.
We've Identified Six Distinct Categories of Concussions in Athletes, Each with its Unique Characteristics:
- Cervical (Neck)
- Mental/Fatigue
- Eye/Vestibular
- Head/Headache
- Emotional/Mood
- Additional Profile Intersections
Through a thorough assessment of your narrative, history, and current symptoms, we tailor our approach to address your specific concussion profile. Our comprehensive orthopedic assessment evaluates the range of motion, pain threshold, and voluntary control of the cervical spine.
Resting and inactivity are no longer the recommended approach. Active treatment strategies are crucial for concussion recovery.
Symptoms We Address Include:
- Headaches, including tension, migraine, and light sensitivity (cranial)
- Mental and physical exhaustion (vestibular)
- Sleep difficulties, including initiating and maintaining sleep
- Cognitive issues, such as difficulty focusing, poor recall, and impaired judgment
- Emotional symptoms, including irritability, melancholy, and panic attacks
Our Concussion Rehabilitation Approach:
- Identify the main symptoms and impairments.
- Address deficiencies through targeted exercises tailored to the patient’s profile.
- Gradually reintroduce exercise and sports based on individual response.
